Everybody processes their grief and experiences differently, so I work with you as a coach, mentor, supporter or companion - assisting you with navigating the challenges, difficult emotions and jarring expectations that can occur after accepting that you’re childless not by choice. 

My own infertility journey

I understand the challenges that going through IVF can bring. After 10 years of trying to conceive, experiencing natural and assisted support - I appreciate the heartbreak and exhaustion that comes with this prolonged process and emotional trauma. The strain it can have on your life, relationships, acceptance of your own body, and friendships. 

After my experience with IVF, I was unprepared for the impact that it would have on me and my partner, after the enduring process came to an end, and our counselling stopped. It was stressful, lonely, and I became physically ill as my body, mind and soul tried to process everything that we had been through.

I didn’t want to be defined by my infertility

I discovered my own pathway through the loss and grief, my broken hopes and dreams of becoming a parent. I found release and the ability to live a fulfilled and happy life. 

Not only have I come to terms with being childless not by choice, but I have regained my joy, discovered the opportunities that not having children can bring, and I can honestly say I am now thriving beyond IVF. 

This is why I started Elm and Bloom. I want to help others feel joy and freedom after their trawling IVF and infertility experiences.

Elm and Bloom

ELM is my unique coaching framework, and it stands for Explore, Let go, Move forwards - which is my support process and each service is built around it. Bloom is because this is what we achieve to do beyond infertility. 

I’m often inspired by nature, and our connection to it brings cycles and seasons - the natural ebb and flow of life. An Elm is an ancient tree symbolising life, creativity and inner strength - all the characteristics that sums up what we aim to achieve in our sessions. 

Strongly rooted in who you are, standing tall in the present and branching out with a new vision for the future.
